Travelling with a baby or toddler can feel like preparing for a full military operation 😅 but having the right essentials packed makes such a difference.
As a mum, these are the travel essentials I’d genuinely want packed for smoother journeys—whether that’s a family holiday abroad, a road trip, or a weekend away.

1. Travel Snack Pots
Snacks can solve a surprising number of toddler travel problems 😅
Airport delays, transfers, long journeys, waiting around… having easy snacks ready can make life much easier.
I always think reusable snack pots are such a practical travel essential.
2. Bibado Travel Bib / Coverall Bib
If you’re eating out, travelling with a messy eater, or just trying to protect outfits, these are brilliant.
Especially for babies and younger toddlers.
One of those things that makes life easier when you’re away.
3. Kids Headphones
Perfect for flights, longer journeys, or hotel downtime.
If you use tablets for entertainment while travelling, kids headphones are a must.
4. Tablet / Travel Entertainment
For long-haul travel, delays, or just moments when everyone needs a breather 😅
Pre-download:
– favourite shows
– games
– educational apps
Travel survival.
5. Portable Charger
Because your phone battery somehow disappears twice as fast when travelling.
Maps, boarding passes, photos, entertainment…
This is a must for parents too.
6. Stroller Organiser
One of my favourite practical travel essentials.
Perfect for keeping:
– wipes
– snacks
– drinks
– passports
– sunscreen
– travel bits
So much easier than rummaging around in bags.
7. Travel Changing Mat
Airport baby change facilities aren’t always glamorous 😅
A foldable changing mat makes quick changes much easier.
8. Wipes Pouch / Travel Wipes
Self-explanatory if you have a baby or toddler 😅
Always useful.

9. Muslins
Honestly, these end up being used for everything.
Spills, feeding, comfort, shade, cleaning… always worth packing.
10. Travel First Aid Essentials
I always think basics are worth having:
– plasters
– pain relief
– thermometer
– baby essentials
Hopefully not needed—but reassuring to pack.

11. Toddler Carrier / Baby Carrier
If you’re navigating airports, queues, sightseeing, or places where a buggy isn’t ideal, this can be invaluable.
Especially with tired little ones.
